We have commissioned a unique and fine blonde beer brewed specially for the Fringe Festival by award winning local microbrewery George Wright Brewing Company at Rainford.
Already had the Open Meeting last November 2007; Open Meeting Start of June held at and sponsored by Jurys Inns, Albert Dock; Press Launch, held at and sponsored by Jurys Inns, Albert Dock; and have the launch party on Friday 1st August at Kingdom, exclusive cocktail lounge and wine bar followed by a ‘splash’ of Fringe events all across Liverpool on Saturday August 2nd.
Scott Merritt, a pupil in Childwall school, wants to set up a variety show to raise money for the cancer charity his mother is involved with.
Trial by Jury by Gilbert and Sullivan in the Court rooms at St Georges Hall where W.S Gilbert started his albeit short career in Law.
Charlotte Sawyer, a cellist, who has already played at the Open Meeting and Press Launch at Jurys Inns on the Albert dock, and has ‘jammed’ with Gan Ainm, a long time personal ambition. (picture)
Gab Ainm – a Liverpool/Irish band formed specifically for the Fringe Festival who have performed already at the Press Launch and have been invited by the Swiss Government to play at a 4 day conference in Switzerland in October
Project approved by the City Council to put 200 bird boxes into Sefton Park. Planned to expand as a citywide project over future years.
Working together with the Liverpool World Museum to utilise their 80 seater stage and community space to put on free public events and invited audience events for groups such as schools etc. They have a Fringe event taking place on 2nd August, an inhouse written play called – ‘Food for Thought’ aimed at kids & families about a Time travel café, looking at diets in the past and our diets now.
