Connecting Cultures @ Sola Arts

Our Nordic Connection...

The Liverpool Fringe festival is working with Ingi from Nice08 in Octiober to celebrate Liverpool's year as European City of Culture by exploring Nordic Heritage here in the North West, and creating new partnerships and links with the Nordic Countries. Find out about Dr Helga.

 

Gill Beattie - Premier Studios/Arts2U

August 7th at 11.30am and 2.30pm you will be able to get a glimpse of Premier Studios 'Slave' at the 08 place (inside shop). Pupils are from the new training academy run by Gill Beattie of Arts2u - check out www.arts2ulimited.com

Also for Everton fans there is a fantastic opportunity to see The Dixie Dean Story held at Mountford Hall, September 19th at 7.30pm check out www.dixiedean.org.uk

July 2008 - Manically contacting venues and artists to get them all together for August.

July 2008 - In partnership with Urban Strawberry Lunch, Open Mike sessions daily during August at St Lukes, the bombed out church. Just go along and talk to Andy or Josh.

July 2008 - Stuff going on at the 08 Place in August.

 

July 2008 - Gan Ainm – A Liverpool/Irish band formed specifically for the Liverpool Fringe Festival. Gan Ainm have been invited by the Swiss Government to perform at a 4 day conference in Switzerland in October, and the Swiss National dance group hope to be performing at the Fringe in August.

June 2008 - JPM Productions in association with the 2008 Liverpool Fringe present ‘And All That Jazz’, A Musical Theatre Cabaret at the Empire Theatre 8pm 21st August..

June 2008 - Charlotte Sawyer – cellist has already performed at both the Open Meeting and Press Launch for the Fringe
